For 2027, the Sierra 1500 introduces all-new sixth-generation 5.7L and 6.6L Small Block V8 engines. GMC says the new engines incorporate advances in combustion, cooling and control systems designed to enhance both performance and refinement.

The result is a powertrain lineup designed to accommodate a wide range of drivers and uses — from everyday commuting to towing, hauling and off-road adventures.

The Sierra will also feature an enhanced TurboMax engine delivering best-in-class standard torque, along with a class-exclusive Duramax diesel. All available engines will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The takeaway? Whether your idea of a good Saturday involves a trailer, a job site, a boat ramp or a winding back road, the next Sierra 1500 is being engineered with capability in mind.

A Sierra That Looks as Strong as It Works

The 2027 Sierra 1500 gets an all-new exterior design with a more powerful stance and what GMC describes as machine-precision forms.

You’ll notice an evolution of GMC’s signature lighting, a more vertical grille, available quad exhaust outlets and trim-specific styling details that give the Sierra a bold, confident presence.

The 2027 Sierra 1500 will also introduce three new exterior colors:

• Mesa Red
• Azurite Blue Metallic
• Dark Ridge Metallic

And because a truck should look just as good pulling into the driveway as it does pulling away from it, GMC has also completely redesigned the Sierra’s interior.

Available premium touches include real wood trim, forged wood on Denali Ultimate, a panoramic sunroof and redesigned seating and cabin appointments.

GMC says Super Cruise® enables hands-free driving on more than 600,000 miles of compatible roads across the U.S. and Canada, including when towing.
